About the Artist
kat is a tattoo artist specializing in abstract & psychedelic tattooing.
Visual Arts have been a passion of mine since childhood. My parents strongly encouraged all of their children to pursue their hobbies and embrace natural talents. As I aged and started to plan what I was doing with my future I always kept my passion for the arts alive.
After moving to Portland, OR in 2013 I enrolled in the tattoo program offered at Forbidden Body Art. I graduated in February 2014 and immediately started my career as a tattoo artist.
I am now the owner of my own tattoo studio called Obsidian Tattoo, located in the General Industry building in North Portland. I opened a private tattoo studio with the hopes of bringing a more calm and intimate feeling to the tattoo experience for my clients.
I specialize in abstract design and psychedelic tattoos. I primarily use stippling, watercolor, lithography, geometric and botanical elements in my tattoo designs. I use the contours of an individual’s body to guide my design placement and create tattoos that fit perfectly with the person they are on. I believe tattoos should enhance how you love your body.
